2006 SOUTH ZONE INTER CLUB TENNIS TOURNAMENT

The ladies edition of interclub tennis will be played among the nine clubs affiliated to the south zone, on a round robin basis, commencing with the Ladies ‘C’ Division on Thursday 1st June, 2006. The A/B Division will start on Tuesday 6th June, 2006. Clubs will be allowed to enter more than one team depending on the number of entries. Competition in these events will be for cash prizes and Trophies. Entry fee per team will be $75 per team.
1. Each team will comprise two singles players and one doubles pair.
2. The singles players should be seeded No.1 and 2 respectively before each match. No.1 seed plays No.1 seed, etc. Before play starts, the team captains are to exchange the names of their seeded players and doubles pair.
3. The team winning at least two of the three matches wins the tie.
4. Each team comprises four players. Reserves will be allowed.
5. All clubs should declare the names of all their players, including reserves, on the entry form, one week before play commences on 1st June, 2006.
6. Play is to be held on Tuesdays from 4:30 pm in the ‘A/B’ Division and on Thursdays from 4:30 pm in the ‘C’ Division. If play cannot be completed on the scheduled day, the tie should be completed, by mutual agreement between the two opposing teams, before the next one.
7. A player can represent only one team.
8. A/B division plays best of 3 tie-break sets at 6 all. C division plays one pro set (8 game set).
9. The host club to provide balls and refreshments.
10. The winning team to submit scores not later than three 3 days after the tie, via e-mail to the addresses on the tournament website.
Entries close on 27th May. The schedule of play will be sent out by the 28th May. All players must pay their $25 annual TATT registration fee.

All clubs must be financial with TATT (i.e. $500.00 annual affiliation fees) for 2006 and all players must be registered ($25 annual fee) with TATT.
